What to expect on painting day
From the morning knock to the final walkthrough — exactly how a painting day runs, what the crew handles, and the few things we need from you.

On painting day, one of our long-term partner crews arrives in the morning, protects your floors and furniture, preps the surfaces, and gets to painting. Most individual rooms wrap up the same day, and the lead painter walks the finished work with you before anyone heads out.
The morning. The crew shows up inside the window we confirmed by text, you meet the lead painter, and everyone does a quick walk of the rooms in scope so we’re all on the same page about what’s getting painted.
Setup and protection. We pull the furniture into the middle of each room and cover it, lay down drop cloths, and tape off anything that isn’t getting painted. This is the step homeowners tend to under-estimate — honestly, good protection is most of what keeps a job clean.
Prep, then paint. We fill and sand, caulk the gaps, spot-prime where it’s needed, then paint — two coats as standard, three on a dramatic colour change. Prep is the one part of the price that can flex, and only if we open something up and hit a genuine surprise. If that happens, we stop and talk it through with you before going anywhere near your locked allowance.
Cleanup and walkthrough. Drop cloths come up, tape comes off, and the lead painter walks every room with you. You point out anything that needs a touch-up, and we take care of it before we call the room done.
What we need from you:clear access to the rooms, any irreplaceable or fragile items (original art, antiques, electronics) moved or flagged ahead of time, pets settled somewhere safe, and a heads-up about parking if your street is tight. You don’t have to be home the whole time, but someone should be reachable for the walkthrough.
